Bruno Bensasson, Chief Executive Officer of Akuo, joined the official French delegation during President Emmanuel Macronโ€™s visit to Greece on 24 and 25 April 2026. The visit brought together leading French industrial companies from multiple sectors and aimed to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, with a particular focus on supporting long-term investments in strategic fields such as renewable energy.

One of the major outcomes of this visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Akuo, Jasper Wind, and AirEnergy S.A. on 25 April in Athens. This agreement sets out the shared intention of all three parties to work together on the development and potential acquisition of six wind energy projects in the Atalanti area in the Region of Sterea Ellada. These projects are expected to have a combined capacity of around 145 MW. The MoU represents an important step forward in Akuoโ€™s strategy to expand its presence and investment activities in Greece.

During the visit, Bruno Bensasson also took part in a panel discussion focused on energy at the economic forum held the same day. The session was attended by President Macron, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, French Minister of Economy Rolland Lescure, and Greek Minister of Economy Kyriรกkos Pierrakรกkis. The discussions highlighted opportunities for deeper energy cooperation and the role of renewable energy in strengthening economic resilience.

Akuoโ€™s long-term ambition in Greece is to grow its presence and contribute meaningfully to the countryโ€™s energy transition. The company has already commissioned its first megawatts in Greece and views its inclusion in the French presidential delegation as an important opportunity to expand relationships with local partners and reinforce its commitment to the Greek market. Akuo has been active in Greece since 2019 and now has a portfolio of 1.4 GW of solar, wind, and storage projects. Subject to grid availability, 88 MW of these projects could be ready to build by 2027.

Bruno Bensasson noted that France and Greece share a strong relationship at the European level and emphasised Akuoโ€™s pride in contributing to this partnership. He highlighted that the MoU with Jasper Wind and AirEnergy S.A. demonstrates the companyโ€™s intention to increase investment in Greece, collaborate with trusted local partners, and take an active role in delivering affordable and sustainable renewable power for the countryโ€™s future.
