DuPont has introduced its 2035 Sustainability Goals, presenting a clear and structured plan for how the company intends to grow while strengthening its environmental, social, and governance performance. These goals are built around four key focus areas: Sustainable Innovation, Resilient Operations, People, Partners and Communities, all supported by a foundation of Strong Governance. Together, they define how DuPont will align its business strategy with sustainability priorities while delivering long-term value to customers, employees, suppliers, communities, and shareholders.

Scott Collick explained that these goals reflect how sustainability is integrated into the companyโ€™s everyday operations rather than treated as a separate initiative. They are designed to provide a clear direction for execution and accountability, guiding how DuPont develops new solutions, improves its operations, and collaborates with stakeholders to address complex global challenges.

In the area of Sustainable Innovation, DuPont aims to shift a significant portion of its revenue toward products and solutions that provide direct sustainability benefits to customers. This includes developing offerings that contribute to better health outcomes, improved water efficiency, and reduced climate impact.

A key part of this approach is the application of Safe and Sustainable by Design principles across its product portfolio, ensuring that sustainability considerations are embedded from the earliest stages of development. The company is also committed to minimizing, eliminating, or avoiding substances of concern in its products and will continue to track and report progress on phasing out such materials. Through these efforts, DuPont intends to not only meet customer expectations but also support broader sustainability goals across industries.

Under Resilient Operations, DuPont plans to build on the significant progress it has already made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The company has achieved more than a 75 percent reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions since 2019 and has made over 55 percent progress in reducing Scope 3 emissions since 2020. Looking ahead, DuPont is committed to achieving science-based emission reductions across all three scopes by 2035 and continuing its journey toward net-zero emissions by 2050.

To accomplish this, the company will expand its use of renewable energy, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen engagement with suppliers to reduce emissions throughout the value chain. In addition, DuPont will incorporate circular economy principles into its business models by increasing the use of recycled and renewable materials in products and packaging, reducing waste generation, and enhancing water management practices at key sites based on globally recognized standards.

The companyโ€™s focus on People, Partners and Communities highlights its commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and responsible working environment. DuPont continues to prioritize workplace safety with the goal of achieving zero injuries in total recordable incident rates. It is also working to build an inclusive culture where employees feel supported, valued, and empowered to innovate.

Beyond its internal workforce, the company is strengthening its approach to responsible sourcing by clearly communicating expectations related to human rights and ethical practices to its suppliers. These efforts are intended to ensure that responsible business practices extend throughout the entire supply chain.

Strong Governance serves as the backbone of DuPontโ€™s sustainability strategy, ensuring that all initiatives are supported by clear accountability, consistent decision-making, and alignment across the organization. By embedding sustainability into governance structures and business processes, DuPont ensures that its commitments are not only well-defined but also effectively implemented at every level of the company.

DuPont plans to provide further details on its progress and performance when it releases its 2026 Sustainability Report on May 4, 2026. Through these 2035 Sustainability Goals, the company aims to demonstrate how sustainability can drive innovation, strengthen operations, and create lasting value for all stakeholders while addressing some of the most pressing global challenges.
