Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd., Grade-A Top Tier-1 Global Solar Manufacturer and leading solar EPC and module manufacturing company in India, has achieved a significant performance milestone at its utility-scale ground-mounted Net Energy Export Generation Guarantee (NEEGG) Project at Manjal, Kutch, developed for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited. Commissioned earlier, the project has now completed one year of successful operations, consistently demonstrating strong performance and operational reliability.

Over the past year, the Manjal solar project has showcased consistent energy generation and operational efficiency, highlighting Kosol Energie’s strength in engineering design, technology integration, and execution excellence. The plant has delivered a performance ratio (PR) of up to 90%, further reinforcing the quality of system design and execution. This achievement underscores the company’s ability to not only deliver projects on time but also ensure long-term performance optimization and enhanced returns for its clients.

The project features 545 Wp bifacial solar modules with 144 half-cut cells and transparent backsheets, installed on fixed-tilt structures. Built using Kosol Energie’s AI-driven, fully automated manufacturing technology, the system delivers over 15% higher efficiency compared to traditional monofacial modules by capturing sunlight from both sides.

It has been developed over 45 acres of previously unused government-owned wasteland, optimized for efficient land utilization. The project is aimed at powering agricultural operations in the region, aligning with GSECL’s vision of integrating clean energy into farming and supporting irrigation needs across rural Gujarat.

Despite challenges such as harsh weather conditions, right-of-way (ROW) constraints for transmission infrastructure, and land encroachment issues, the Kosol team successfully executed and commissioned the project within a record timeline, ensuring high standards of quality and performance reliability, with over 15 years of experience in solar modules and EPC projects.

Speaking on this milestone, Mr. Kalpesh Kalthia, CMD of Kosol Energie, said, “Manjal stands as a testament to our ability to consistently deliver beyond expectations. This project reflects the strength of our design approach, technology selection, and on-ground execution. At Kosol, we remain focused on driving higher efficiency and long-term value for our clients while supporting India’s renewable energy ambitions.”

The project contributes significantly to environmental sustainability, with an estimated CO₂ reduction of approximately 402,814 tonnes over 25 years, while generating clean and reliable energy to support agricultural and irrigation activities in Gujarat.
