Dinto Solar Delivers 4.4MW HJT Modules for Solar-Powered Irrigation Systems in the Philippines

Dinto Solar has successfully completed the delivery of its first 4.4MW shipment of G12-132 high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) modules to a customer in the Philippines.

The modules will be deployed in solar-powered irrigation systems across multiple agricultural sites, helping local farmers reduce reliance on diesel pumps, lower irrigation costs, and support additional planting cycles during dry seasons. This first shipment also marks an important milestone for Dinto Solar, strengthening its presence in distributed PV applications and smart agriculture solutions across Southeast Asia.

Addressing Energy Constraints in Agricultural Irrigation

Agricultural irrigation in the Philippines continues to face significant energy and cost pressures. Electricity prices remain among the highest in Southeast Asia, while many rural areas still lack stable grid access. As a result, diesel-powered irrigation remains widely used, driving high and volatile operating costs for agricultural users.

To address these challenges, the Philippine government is heavily investing in solar-powered irrigation systems (SPIS) to modernize agriculture, reduce diesel dependency, with around 1,000 projects completed in 2024 and another 1,000 planned for 2025. Agrivoltaic applications have also been included in national renewable energy procurement programs starting from 2026, reflecting growing policy support for integrating solar energy into agricultural modernization.

HJT Technology Designed for Tropical Environments

The Philippines presents challenging operating conditions for photovoltaic systems, including high temperatures, high humidity, salt mist exposure, and frequent typhoons. Dinto Solar HJT modules are engineered for stable performance in such environments. They feature an optimized temperature coefficient of -0.24%/ยฐC, helping minimize power loss under high heat conditions. The modules are also certified for resistance to salt mist, ammonia, thermal cycling, and mechanical load testing, supportinglong-term reliability in tropical and coastal regions.

Enabling Agricultural Value Creation

By integrating HJT technology into solar-powered irrigation systems, customers achieve improved energy efficiency and more stable agricultural operations. Diesel consumption for irrigation is significantly reduced, leading to lower operating costs and improved project economics. At the same time, more precise irrigation and fertilization management supports additional planting cycles during dry seasons, contributing to enhanced agricultural productivity.

This 4.4MW delivery further demonstrates the potential of high-efficiency HJT in distributed PV and smart agriculture applications. Moving forward, Dinto Solar will continue advancing HJT innovation to deliver reliable clean energy solutions for agricultural modernization and the global energy transition.
