The Rajasthan Solar Association (RSA), one of the leading industry bodies representing Rajasthan’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector, will convene a high-level closed-door virtual industry roundtable to deliberate on the proposed implementation of ALCM and its anticipated impact on Rajasthan’s solar ecosystem as well as the broader national renewable energy market.

Scheduled to be held on May 25, 2026 at 2:30 PM IST, the strategic webinar consultation will bring together key stakeholders from across the solar value chain, including EPC companies, rooftop installers, project developers, manufacturers, industry experts, financial institutions, policy advisors, and renewable energy professionals.

The virtual consultation will examine critical industry concerns related to implementation readiness, supply chain preparedness, pricing implications, project execution challenges, and overall market readiness under the proposed ALCM framework expected from June 1, 2026.

The recommendations and observations emerging from the consultation are expected to be compiled and submitted to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) as consolidated industry feedback from Rajasthan’s solar sector. As one of India’s largest and most strategically significant solar markets, Rajasthan continues to play a critical role in the nation’s clean energy transition.

Addressing the importance of the initiative, Mr. Nitin Agarwal, CEO, RSA, said “The Rajasthan solar industry strongly supports the Government of India’s vision of strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and advancing energy self-reliance. At the same time, the industry is witnessing significant concerns around implementation timelines, domestic supply readiness, project execution capacity, and potential pricing implications. Through this industry roundtable, RSA aims to present balanced, constructive, and solution-oriented feedback to policymakers.”

Mr. Ramakant Jangid, Senior Vice President, RSA, added Rajasthan remains at the forefront of India’s solar growth story. Any major regulatory transition such as ALCM implementation requires deeper stakeholder consultation to ensure smooth adoption without disruption to ongoing rooftop, commercial & industrial, and utility-scale solar projects. The industry seeks practical implementation timelines aligned with current market realities and supply ecosystem readiness.”

Key discussion themes during the roundtable will include:

• Domestic solar cell availability and manufacturing preparedness
• Impact on rooftop, open-access, and utility-scale solar projects
• Pricing implications for consumers and commercial establishments
• Challenges faced by EPC companies, developers, and installers
• Project execution timelines and supply chain bottlenecks
• Recommendations for phased implementation and transition support
