During the event, Mr. Soksavanh Phetrasy, Director of VS Solar One Co Ltd, provided details about the project. He explained that the total installed capacity of 9.5 MW will be distributed across three locations in Salavan province. The project includes a 3 MW solar installation at Taopoun village in Salavan district, a 3 MW facility at Phakkha village in Vapi district, and a 3.5 MW installation at Paloy village in Ta-Oy district.

According to Mr. Soksavanh, agreements on electricity pricing for all three facilities have already been signed with Electricite du Laos (EDL). In addition, the official concession agreement for the project was signed on November 13, 2025. Construction activities are expected to continue throughout 2026, with completion targeted by the end of the year.

Once operational, the solar power plants will supply electricity to communities across Salavan province, helping to strengthen the local power supply while supporting the countryโ€™s renewable energy objectives. VS Engineering Co Ltd has been appointed as the contractor responsible for construction.
