Ganesh Green Bharat Secures 1,000 MWh BESS EPC Order from NTPC Renewable Energy

Ganesh Green Bharat Limited (GGBL) has secured a 1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), marking a significant addition to its growing portfolio in India’s energy storage sector.

The project will see Ganesh Green Bharat supply the battery energy storage system as part of the EPC scope, highlighting the company’s integrated capabilities across manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and project execution. The order strengthens the company’s position in the rapidly expanding energy storage market, which is expected to play a critical role in supporting India’s renewable energy growth and grid reliability objectives.

The project award comes amid strong financial and operational performance by the company. Ganesh Green Bharat reported revenue of ₹1,064.26 crore in FY26, compared to ₹321.76 crore in FY25. Profit After Tax (PAT) increased to ₹75.18 crore from ₹30.22 crore during the same period, reflecting significant year-on-year growth.

The company also reported a robust order book of approximately ₹2,212 crore, providing long-term revenue visibility and underscoring sustained demand for its renewable energy and infrastructure solutions.

Battery Energy Storage Systems are increasingly being deployed to support renewable energy integration, manage grid stability, reduce curtailment, address peak demand requirements, and enable round-the-clock clean power supply. As India continues to expand its renewable energy capacity, large-scale energy storage projects are expected to become an essential component of the country’s energy infrastructure.

The latest order further expands Ganesh Green Bharat’s presence in the renewable energy and energy storage ecosystem while supporting its strategic focus on sustainable infrastructure development. The company said it remains focused on leveraging its growing capabilities across the clean energy value chain to support India’s long-term renewable energy and decarbonization goals.
