Joint Solar Expands TOPCon Module Manufacturing Amid Rising Demand for High-Efficiency Solar Technologies

Joint Solar, a solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer, has announced plans to expand its production of TOPCon and other high-efficiency solar modules in response to growing demand from residential, commercial, and industrial customers across India.

The company said the expansion is being driven by increasing market preference for advanced solar technologies that offer improved energy output, long-term performance, and operational reliability. As customer expectations evolve, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on technology upgrades and capacity expansion to meet changing industry requirements.

With more than two decades of experience in the solar sector, Joint Solar currently operates a manufacturing capacity of 1.3 GW and has completed over 500,000 installations across India. The company manufactures solar modules based on polycrystalline, monocrystalline, and TOPCon technologies and operates two manufacturing facilities, including a major production unit at Pilakhua near Hapur, Uttar Pradesh.

As part of its expansion strategy, Joint Solar has set a target of producing more than 5,000 high-efficiency solar modules per day. The company said the initiative is aimed at supporting the increasing adoption of advanced solar technologies across various market segments.

According to Joint Solar, high-efficiency modules are witnessing wider deployment in residential rooftop systems, commercial and industrial installations, and other solar projects where performance optimization and long-term energy generation have become critical considerations.

Commenting on the market trend, Vinod Sharma, Director of Joint Solar, said customer priorities have shifted significantly over time, with greater emphasis now being placed on module performance, reliability, and consistency in addition to pricing. He noted that this trend is contributing to the growing adoption of technologies such as TOPCon, which offer higher efficiency and improved energy yields.

Sharma added that the company has been continuously investing in manufacturing upgrades, product innovation, and technology development to align with evolving market requirements. He said Joint Solar remains focused on delivering reliable products capable of performing consistently under diverse operating conditions.

The company also highlighted the role of its in-house research and development activities in supporting product improvement and enhancing module efficiency. These efforts are intended to ensure that the company’s product portfolio remains aligned with emerging technology trends in the solar industry.
