Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (Nama Power and Water Procurement Company) has issued an international public tender seeking consultancy services for the Marsa Solar Power Project in the Sultanate of Oman.
The tender, identified as OPWP/2026/018, forms part of the company’s mandate to meet the Sultanate’s growing electricity and water requirements through approved procurement mechanisms in accordance with the Law Regulating and Privatizing the Electricity and Related Water Sector.
Under the tender, Nama Power aims to appoint a qualified consultant to provide comprehensive technical and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle. The selected consultant will be responsible for supervising construction activities, overseeing trial operations, monitoring performance testing, and ensuring compliance with approved technical specifications.
The company opened the online sale of tender documents on June 4, 2026, with the purchase period remaining available until June 15, 2026. Interested firms will be able to review the project’s technical requirements and submission conditions during this period.
As part of the tender requirements, bidders must submit a bank guarantee or certified cheque issued by a local bank equivalent to at least 1% of the contract value. The bid security must remain valid for a minimum of 120 days from the tender submission deadline.
The cost of purchasing the tender documents has been set at OMR 100. However, small and medium-sized enterprises holding a valid Riyada card are exempt from the fee as part of efforts to support SME participation in the sector.
The deadline for submitting bids has been set for July 26, 2026, before 12:00 PM Oman time. Tender documents and related information are available through Nama Power’s electronic procurement platform, while technical inquiries can be submitted through the company’s designated procurement channels.
The launch of the consultancy tender marks another step forward in the development of the Marsa Solar Project, supporting Oman’s ongoing efforts to expand renewable energy capacity and diversify its energy mix.
