Juniper Green Energy has commissioned 305 MW of renewable energy capacity in Gujarat through its subsidiaries under multiple power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), strengthening its operational portfolio and expanding its presence in one of India’s key renewable energy markets.
The newly commissioned capacity comprises 183 MWp of solar power and 122 MW of wind power projects located across Surendranagar, Aravalli, Devbhumi Dwarka, and adjoining districts. The projects form part of the company’s broader strategy to accelerate renewable energy deployment while supporting Gujarat’s growing clean energy ecosystem.
Within its hybrid energy portfolio, Juniper Green Energy commissioned 70.56 MWp of solar capacity under a 150 MW hybrid project on April 23, 2026, achieving commercial operations 71 days ahead of the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD). The company subsequently commissioned 42.42 MWp of solar capacity under a 120 MW hybrid project on May 14, 2026, completing the milestone 148 days ahead of schedule. A further 70.07 MWp of solar capacity under another 150 MW hybrid project was commissioned on June 3, 2026, 30 days ahead of the SCOD.
In the wind energy segment, the company completed the commissioning of two projects in Devbhumi Dwarka, including 50.40 MW under a 50 MW wind power project and 72.45 MW under a 70 MW wind power project.
The commissioning underscores Juniper Green Energy’s project execution capabilities and highlights Gujarat’s strategic importance in the company’s growth plans. The state continues to attract significant renewable energy investments due to its favorable policy environment, strong transmission infrastructure, and abundant solar and wind resources.
According to the company, the newly operational projects further strengthen its partnership with GUVNL while contributing additional clean power generation capacity to the state’s energy mix.
Commenting on the development, Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy, said the commissioning of more than 305 MW of renewable energy capacity demonstrates the company’s ability to execute projects efficiently while delivering reliable clean energy solutions. He added that the company remains focused on expanding capacity across strategic renewable energy markets in India.
The latest milestone follows the recent commencement of commissioning activities for Juniper Green Energy’s Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan. The project is positioned among India’s emerging next-generation renewable energy initiatives designed to provide more reliable and dispatchable clean power to the grid.
With the addition of the Gujarat portfolio, Juniper Green Energy continues to strengthen its position in India’s renewable energy sector as developers increasingly focus on integrated solar, wind, and hybrid projects to meet the country’s growing clean energy requirements.
