JAL Precision Products has commissioned a 500 kW rooftop solar power system at its manufacturing facility in Pune, marking a key step in its renewable energy adoption strategy. The project is expected to generate around 750,000 units of electricity annually, helping the company reduce grid dependency and improve energy efficiency.

The system was developed and installed by B.U. Bhandari Energy under an EPC model, incorporating high-efficiency modules, inverters, and fixed-tilt mounting structures. The installation is projected to reduce the company’s grid power consumption by 40–45% while cutting annual carbon emissions by nearly 600–650 tons.

In addition to rooftop solar deployment, JAL Precision is also planning a 4 MW solar project under the open access mechanism. The expansion reflects a hybrid clean energy strategy combining on-site generation with large-scale renewable procurement, aimed at reducing long-term power costs and supporting sustainability goals.
