The new plant complements Avaada’s existing 7 GW solar module manufacturing capacity and is expected to play a key role in reducing India’s reliance on imported solar cells. The company is also working towards establishing an integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem spanning polysilicon, ingots, wafers, cells, modules, and solar glass production.

Backed by an investment of approximately ₹13,000 crore, the project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities while supporting India’s renewable energy and manufacturing ambitions. The facility is anticipated to enhance domestic supply chain resilience and contribute to the country’s goal of achieving greater self-sufficiency in solar equipment production.
