LONGi Green Energy has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Water Authority (SWA) during Saudi Water Week 2026.

The agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Mansour Al-Mushaiti, Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA), and His Excellency Tariq Al-Ghafari, Vice President of SWA.

The partnership aims to advance renewable energy integration and digital transformation across Saudi Arabia’s water production, treatment, and distribution infrastructure, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

The strategic partnership establishes a collaborative framework covering four key areas:

1. Clean Energy Integration

            •           Solar PV deployment for water infrastructure

            •           Green hydrogen and energy storage solutions

2. Digital Transformation

            •           AI-driven water system optimization

            •           Smart monitoring and data analytics for water networks

3. Industrial Localization

            •           Technology localization and supply chain development

            •           Exploration of local manufacturing opportunities

4. Human Capital & Innovation

            •           Workforce training programs for Saudi nationals

            •           Joint R&D and pilot demonstration projects

This MoU represents an important step in advancing integrated clean energy solutions within Saudi Arabia’s water sector.

It reflects growing collaboration between global technology providers and Saudi institutions to support the Kingdom’s decarbonization and localization objectives under Vision 2030.

“In selecting LONGi, we considered its strong technological capabilities in solar energy and its commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s energy transition objectives,” said His Excellency Tariq. “This collaboration will support our efforts to enhance sustainability and efficiency across Saudi Arabia’s water infrastructure.”

“This partnership reflects LONGi’s long-term commitment to the Middle East and its role in enabling clean energy solutions for critical infrastructure,” said James.“We look forward to working with SWA to explore scalable solar and hydrogen applications that support the Kingdom’s sustainability goals.”

The MoU further strengthens LONGi’s commitment to supporting the Middle East’s clean energy transition and decarbonization of critical infrastructure sectors.
