Hexa Climate Signs 100 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid PPA With CESC At INR3.75/kWh

Hexa Climate has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CESC Limited for the supply of 100 MW of Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power. The agreement was secured through CESC’s tariff-based competitive bidding process, which was conducted for a total of 600 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity.

Under the agreement, the project will have a contracted capacity of 100 MW. The renewable energy installation will include 50 MW of solar capacity and 100 MW of wind capacity, enabling the project to deliver reliable hybrid power. The project will be developed in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, a region with strong renewable energy potential.

The PPA has been signed at a tariff of ₹3.75 per kWh, which will remain fixed for a period of 25 years. The tariff has also been adopted by the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (WBERC), providing regulatory approval for the long-term power supply arrangement. The project is expected to achieve a declared Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 50% at the delivery point, reflecting the efficiency of combining wind and solar generation.

Hexa Climate expressed its appreciation to the CESC team for their cooperation throughout the bidding and agreement process. The company also acknowledged the efforts of its internal team for successfully achieving this milestone.
