Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy Limited (MREL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (MSRDC), has invited bids for the long-term sale of solar power generated from its 115 MW solar power plants installed along various interchanges of the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. The company has issued a Notice Inviting e-Tender, offering renewable energy through a competitive tariff-based bidding process.
The tender aims to supply solar power through open access mechanisms, including third-party open access and group captive open access arrangements. This initiative is expected to provide commercial and industrial consumers with an opportunity to procure clean energy under long-term agreements while supporting Maharashtra’s renewable energy transition.
According to the tender notification, interested bidders and eligible power consumers can access the Request for Proposal (RFP) document through the Maharashtra Government’s official e-tendering portal. The document has been available for download since July 17, 2026, from 12:00 hrs IST. Bidders are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 60,000 plus applicable GST online through the SBI payment gateway available on the portal.
To help prospective bidders understand the project requirements and address any technical or commercial queries, MREL will organize a pre-bid meeting on August 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM IST. The meeting will provide participants with an opportunity to seek clarifications before submitting their bids.
The final date for electronic submission of proposals is September 7, 2026, up to 3:00 PM IST. All proposals must be submitted through the designated e-tender portal within the prescribed timeline.
MREL has stated that it reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids at any stage of the tender process without assigning any reason. Interested parties are advised to regularly check the official MSRDC website and the Maharashtra e-tender portal for further information, corrigenda, and updates related to the bidding process.
