Aegeus Technologies: Transforming Solar O&M Through Made-in-India Green Robotics

As India’s solar ecosystem scales rapidly, the focus is increasingly shifting from capacity creation to efficient, sustainable and technology-driven management of solar assets. Bengaluru-based Aegeus Technologies is positioning itself at the forefront of this transition by integrating robotics, IoT, AI and machine learning into solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M).

Aegeus was built with a clear objective: to improve solar asset performance while reducing dependence on water, manual intervention and fragmented maintenance processes. Its flagship waterless robotic cleaning solutions, Unicorn for ground-mounted projects and Shreem for rooftop installations, leverage the company’s Airwash Technology. Aegeus reports cleaning efficiency of 99.84%, tested at UL Labs.

The company, however, is evolving beyond solar module cleaning. Its growing technology ecosystem encompasses asset monitoring, vegetation management, security automation and plant optimisation, supported by solutions such as Asset Guard, GreenSweep, AEG Shield and the IoT-driven Aegeus Connect platform. The broader vision is to bring traditionally fragmented O&M activities onto an increasingly connected and automated ecosystem.

This evolution reflects management’s larger ambition of transforming Aegeus from a “hardware vendor” into a “performance partner” for renewable energy asset owners. The company’s solutions have been deployed across 10+ GW of solar assets, with deployments spanning India, Brazil and the Middle East. Aegeus has also established a wholly owned subsidiary in Saudi Arabia and is currently managing NEOM NRC solar sites, strengthening its presence in the Middle East.

Management’s long-term strategy is centred on building competencies across robotics, visual analytics, remote monitoring, path planning and AI-led automation, while expanding Aegeus’ presence across global markets. The company ultimately envisions an ecosystem where solar O&M progressively moves towards predictive and autonomous operations with significantly lower manual intervention.

IPO Marks the Next Phase of Growth

As Aegeus enters its next phase, the company is also approaching the capital markets with a 100% fresh issue of 22,58,400 equity shares, aggregating up to ₹23.71 crore at the upper end of the ₹100–₹105 price band. The Anchor Investor bidding is scheduled for August 3, 2026, followed by the public issue from August 4 to August 6, 2026.

For Aegeus, the IPO represents another milestone in its journey of building a Made-in-India green robotics and automation platform with global ambitions—focused on making solar O&M smarter, more sustainable and increasingly autonomous.
