Pace Digitek Expands BESS Manufacturing Capacity to 5 GWh with New Production Line

Pace Digitek Limited has doubled its battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing capacity to 5 GWh following the commissioning of an additional 2.5 GWh production line by its subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL). The expansion increases the group’s installed BESS manufacturing capacity from 2.5 GWh and is aimed at supporting its growing order book, project pipeline, and product supply commitments.

The company said the new manufacturing line marks a significant milestone in its energy storage business as demand for BESS solutions continues to rise across utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. The additional capacity is expected to improve manufacturing flexibility, production planning, and delivery capabilities while strengthening execution across the company’s expanding project portfolio.

According to the company, Pace Digitek has manufactured more than 300 utility-scale BESS containers, representing approximately 1.5 GWh of battery energy storage capacity over the past year. The capacity expansion builds on this operational track record and enhances the company’s ability to meet increasing customer demand and capitalize on emerging market opportunities.

Pace Digitek noted that India’s battery energy storage market is witnessing rapid growth, driven by rising renewable energy deployment, increasing grid balancing requirements, and greater adoption of storage solutions across utility-scale and C&I segments. The company added that expanding manufacturing capacity and strengthening supply chain integration are becoming increasingly important as energy storage deployments accelerate.

He added that the expanded 5 GWh manufacturing capacity will support its growing order pipeline while improving operational efficiencies, and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continued investments in manufacturing, technology, and product development.
