The company said the project has been commissioned under the Captive Open Access model following the execution of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and a Share Subscription and Shareholders’ Agreement (SSSHA) signed in September 2024 for acquiring a captive equity stake in the project developer.

According to the company, the Short-Term Open Access (STOA) for evacuation of power became effective on August 6, 2026, enabling the supply of solar power to Mangalam Cement from the same date. The solar photovoltaic (PV) project has been developed on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis.

Mangalam Cement stated that the captive solar project is expected to reduce the company’s power costs while increasing the share of renewable energy in its overall power mix, supporting its sustainability and clean energy objectives.
