Jakson Infra has secured a ₹128.21 crore contract from Resonia Limited for the engineering, procurement, supply, construction, testing and commissioning of a 400 kV double-circuit (quad) Jagalur–Kadakola Transmission Line – Element 1B (Middle Section) in Karnataka.
The awarded transmission line section will cover approximately 90.07 km. The project is part of a larger transmission scheme involving the establishment of a 400 kV substation at Hampapura and associated transmission lines in Mandya district.
Resonia Limited was awarded the larger transmission scheme by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.
Under the contract, Jakson Infra will undertake the complete execution of the designated transmission line section, including engineering, procurement, material supply, construction, testing and commissioning.
The project is expected to strengthen Karnataka’s transmission infrastructure, improve grid reliability and support the state’s growing electricity demand.
Jakson Infra said the contract reinforces its position in India’s power transmission EPC sector and reflects its growing role in developing transmission infrastructure to support the country’s expanding energy requirements.
