K.P. Energy Limited, a provider of Balance of Plant (BOP) solutions for the wind energy sector, reported a 137% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated revenue from operations to ₹519 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), compared with ₹219 crore in Q1 FY26.
The company’s total income rose 136% YoY to ₹521 crore during the quarter. EBITDA increased 25% to ₹62 crore from ₹50 crore, while profit after tax (PAT) grew 3% to ₹26 crore from ₹25 crore in the corresponding quarter. Cash profit increased 10% YoY to ₹39 crore, while basic earnings per share (EPS) stood at ₹3.85, compared with ₹3.81 in Q1 FY26.
K.P. Energy’s total renewable energy portfolio currently stands at 3.73 GW, comprising 1.57 GW of installed capacity and 2.16 GW of projects in hand. Its Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio totals 250.5 MW, including 48.5 MW of operational capacity, while its Operations and Maintenance (O&M) portfolio, managed through its wholly owned subsidiary KP Energy OMS Limited, stands at 646 MW.
During the quarter, the company became the first in India to install a domestically manufactured 4.2 MW wind turbine in South Gujarat. A 5.3 MW turbine is also currently under installation, highlighting its focus on higher-capacity wind turbine technology.
The company also holds a Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) inter-state electricity trading licence, providing access to power trading opportunities across India. Its long-term credit facilities are rated CARE A- with a Stable Outlook.
Power generation from K.P. Energy’s IPP portfolio increased to 3.15 crore kWh in Q1 FY27 from 2.65 crore kWh in Q1 FY26. The company said its integrated business model, covering site identification, engineering, procurement and construction (EPCC), power evacuation and O&M, positions it to participate in India’s expanding onshore and emerging offshore wind markets.
Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KP Group, said the company’s Q1 FY27 performance reflects its execution capabilities as India’s wind sector enters a growth phase. He highlighted opportunities arising from the country’s target of 100 GW of installed wind capacity by 2030 and the potential for growth across Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
K.P. Energy is part of the KP Group, which has a current renewable energy capacity of 9.2 GW across solar, wind, hybrid, BESS, green hydrogen and offshore wind, with a target of exceeding 10 GW by 2030.
