SPCG Reports 24% Rise in Q2 2026 Net Profit as Solar Rooftop Business Expands

SPCG Public Company Limited, a Thailand-based solar power producer and solar rooftop solutions provider, reported a net profit of THB 115.5 million for the second quarter of 2026, marking a 24% increase from THB 93.3 million recorded in the same period last year.

For the first half of 2026, SPCG reported total revenue of THB 814.8 million and net profit of THB 233.9 million, with overall performance remaining broadly in line with the previous year.

The company attributed its first-half performance to the consistent electricity generation from its portfolio of 36 solar farm projects, alongside continued growth in its solar rooftop business operated through its subsidiary, Solar Power Roof Co., Ltd. (SPR).

During 2026, SPCG has adjusted its solar rooftop marketing strategy to increase its focus on the residential market, responding to rising household demand for rooftop solar installations. The strategy is supported by government measures promoting clean energy adoption, including personal income tax deductions of up to THB 200,000 for eligible solar rooftop installations and programmes that allow excess electricity generated by households to be sold back to the grid.

To support residential customers, the company has introduced flexible solar rooftop packages covering application procedures, electricity connection and documentation, along with integrated after-sales services.

Aomsin Siri, President and CEO of SPCG Public Company Limited, said the company’s first-half performance met its targets despite ongoing economic challenges. She attributed the results to efficient solar power plant management and the company’s ability to adapt its business strategy, particularly through its increased focus on the residential solar rooftop segment.

For the second half of 2026, SPCG plans to continue expanding its residential and industrial solar rooftop markets while exploring investment opportunities in clean energy businesses in Thailand and international markets.

The company said these initiatives are aimed at supporting long-term growth, strengthening its position in the clean energy sector and delivering sustainable returns to shareholders and other stakeholders.
