Malaysia-based sustainable energy and engineering solutions provider Kinergy Advancement Bhd reported a 39.4% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to RM9.05 million for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026 (2Q FY2026) ended June 30, 2026, compared with RM6.49 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue rose 12% YoY to RM109.38 million, from RM97.73 million in 2Q FY2025.
For the first half of FY2026, Kinergy’s net profit increased 29% YoY to RM16.43 million, compared with RM12.74 million in the same period of FY2025. Revenue grew 27.1% YoY to RM211.42 million from RM166.3 million.
The company also strengthened its financial position during the period. Total liquid assets increased 43.6% to RM168.8 million, while net gearing declined to 0.25 times, compared with 0.49 times previously.
Kinergy said its earnings have maintained a double-digit growth trajectory, with net profit increasing at double-digit rates in every quarter since 1Q FY2024. The company attributed the performance to continued growth in its Sustainable Energy Solutions (SES) segment and improved balance-sheet capacity.
SES Segment Drives Growth
The SES segment remained the primary growth driver, with revenue increasing 50.5% YoY to RM170.7 million during 1H FY2026. The segment accounted for more than 80% of the group’s total revenue, supported by the execution of specialised energy engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) projects in Sabah and Labuan.
Traditional engineering revenue stood at RM40.4 million as mechanical and electrical projects entered the final stages of cost recognition. However, the group’s tender pipeline increased significantly to RM383 million, compared with RM104 million in the preceding quarter.
Kinergy Group Managing Director and Deputy Chairman Datuk Dr Lai Keng Onn said the company had strengthened both recurring earnings and balance-sheet capacity during the first half of FY2026.
RM1.14 Billion Secured Order Book
As of the end of June 2026, Kinergy had a secured order book of approximately RM1.14 billion, comprising RM93 million from engineering activities and RM1.05 billion from the SES segment.
The group also had an active tender pipeline of approximately RM3.08 billion, including RM83 million in engineering opportunities and RM2.70 billion in SES projects.
Kinergy continues to evaluate larger renewable energy opportunities, including large-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), as well as infrastructure opportunities associated with data centres.
The company said these opportunities could expand its participation across the energy value chain and support growth across its three core pillars: EPCC, renewable energy through SES, and independent power producer (IPP) activities.
As of 4:46 p.m. on August 26, 2026, Kinergy’s shares were unchanged at RM0.425, with 8.58 million shares traded, giving the company a market capitalisation of approximately RM929 million.
