GK Energy Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment (LOE) from a state government-owned power distribution utility for the execution of 100 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic projects across India.
Under the empanelment, GK Energy will install 1 kW rooftop solar systems across 1 lakh households, with the combined project capacity reaching 100 MW. The contract is valued at approximately ₹454.50 crore, including GST.
The scope of work covers the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems, along with five years of operations and maintenance (O&M). The projects are required to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the respective work orders.
With this empanelment, GK Energy said it has received allocations and empanelments worth more than ₹1,092 crore, including GST, since April 1, 2026. The development expands the company’s presence in the rooftop solar segment and builds on its experience in executing decentralized renewable energy projects.
Gopal Kabra, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO of GK Energy, said the empanelment will help the company expand its rooftop solar presence and enable wider adoption of distributed clean energy among households. He added that the company’s experience and execution network will support the implementation of projects at this scale.
The latest allocation is expected to contribute to the expansion of decentralized solar generation and support India’s renewable energy targets by increasing access to rooftop solar at the household level.
