IndianOil Petronas Private Limited (IPPL), a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation Limited and PETRONAS, has invited bids for a pilot project to install on-grid solar power systems at selected Auto LPG Dispensing Station (ALDS) retail outlets in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
The tender, bearing reference number IPPL/HO/S&T/26-27/ALDS SolarPilot/01, will follow a two-bid submission process. Interested bidders are required to submit their bids online through the Central Public Procurement Portal.
The tender was opened for participation on September 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The tender does not carry any fee. The notice does not specify the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) or Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) requirements in its summary.
Bidders can submit pre-bid queries until September 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM through the designated email channel. IPPL will publish responses to the queries on the procurement portal by September 8, 2026. No queries submitted after the deadline will be considered.
The deadline for submitting bids is September 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM, while the bids will be opened on September 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Bids will remain valid for 90 days from the date of opening and may be extended if required.
The selected vendors will be responsible for completing the work within eight weeks from the placement of the work order. This period will include installation, commissioning, and completion of net-metering and other required Electricity Board formalities.
Vendors must also apply for statutory approvals within seven days of the site becoming ready. Warranty coverage will begin after successful completion of the project.
The pilot initiative is aimed at supporting the adoption of solar power at IPPL’s ALDS retail outlets in the two southern states. The project could also provide operational experience for wider deployment of renewable energy systems across suitable retail locations.
