GoodWe has launched its EO G2 off-grid inverter in the Philippines, with products from its first shipment now available in the local market. The launch follows the product’s earlier introduction in Nigeria, Kenya and Bangladesh, expanding its availability across Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
The EO G2 is designed for residential and small commercial applications, particularly in off-grid and weak-grid environments where grid reliability and access to stable electricity remain challenges.
GoodWe Targets Off-Grid Power Demand in Philippines
With more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines has a geographically dispersed energy landscape, with remote communities facing challenges related to grid access and conventional power infrastructure.
The EO G2 is designed to operate as part of an integrated solar and battery energy system. It features an IP66-rated enclosure and an operating temperature range of -35°C to 60°C, supporting deployment in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions.
The inverter has a backup switchover time of less than four milliseconds. It also supports generator integration and parallel operation of up to 10 inverter units, allowing systems to be configured for different power and load requirements.
Gabriel Silan, Deputy General Manager of the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance (PSSEA), attended GoodWe’s launch event and highlighted the demand for affordable and reliable off-grid power solutions in the country.
GoodWe Strengthens Local Support Network
Alongside the product launch, GoodWe has established local support covering sales, pre-sales, marketing and after-sales services in the Philippines.
The company conducts four to five installer training sessions each month, covering installation, commissioning and service-related technical capabilities.
James Hou, General Manager of GoodWe South Asia and Southeast Asia, said the company is combining the EO G2’s off-grid capabilities with local technical support as it expands the product’s deployment in the Philippines.
The launch is part of GoodWe’s broader expansion of its off-grid product portfolio in international markets where reliable and flexible electricity supply is a key requirement.
