GoodWe has opened a new regional office in Nairobi, Kenya, as part of its efforts to strengthen its local presence and expand technical and customer support capabilities across Africa.
The new facility will serve as a base for the company’s engagement with installers, distributors, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, and customers in the region. It will also provide facilities for technical training, product demonstrations and partner support.
According to GoodWe, the Nairobi office forms part of its broader localization strategy in Africa, combining its global technology and engineering capabilities with increased local expertise and support.
As renewable energy deployment expands across African markets, the company said that local technical capabilities, installer training and accessible after-sales services are becoming increasingly important for the deployment and operation of energy systems under different grid and environmental conditions.
Focus on Local Technical Capabilities
Kenya is among Africa’s leading renewable energy markets, with renewable sources accounting for more than 90% of the country’s electricity generation. The country’s ongoing energy transition is also increasing attention on areas such as energy storage, system reliability, financing and technical capabilities.
The Nairobi office is intended to support these requirements by providing dedicated space for technical training and product demonstrations. GoodWe said the facility will allow it to work more closely with local partners, provide hands-on training and respond to project and market requirements.

GoodWe Expands Off-Grid Product Offering in Kenya
The opening of the Nairobi office follows GoodWe’s recent expansion of its product portfolio in Kenya with the introduction of its EO G2 off-grid inverter.
The EO G2 is designed for households and small businesses operating in off-grid locations or areas affected by unreliable grid supply. The inverter supports generator integration, up to 200% PV oversizing and parallel operation.
The system also features an IP66-rated enclosure designed to provide protection against dust and water, supporting operation in challenging environmental conditions, including rain and high temperatures.
GoodWe said the EO G2 reflects growing demand across African markets for energy systems that can provide reliable power under local operating conditions, in addition to conventional solar generation capabilities.
The company aims to combine its product offerings with local technical training, after-sales support and partner engagement through its expanded presence in Kenya.
The Nairobi office represents another step in GoodWe’s efforts to develop localized capabilities and strengthen its engagement with customers and energy-sector partners across the African market.
