Juniper Green Energy Adds 101 MW Wind Capacity Across 3 States, Takes Operational Portfolio to 2,689 MWp and 503 MWh BESS

Juniper Green Energy Limited has commissioned 101 MW of wind power capacity across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan during the first fortnight of September 2026. The latest commissioning takes the company’s total operational capacity to 2,689 MWp, along with 503 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity.

The newly commissioned capacity includes a 45 MW wind component under the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) Hybrid Phase I project and a 40 MW wind component under GUVNL Hybrid Phase II. Both projects are located at the Charadva GETCO Substation in Gujarat.

Following the latest commissioning, 145 MW of the 150 MW contracted capacity under the GUVNL Hybrid Phase I project is operational, while 70 MW of the 120 MW capacity under GUVNL Hybrid Phase II has been commissioned.

In Maharashtra, Juniper Green Energy has completed the commissioning of its full 75 MW contracted capacity with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The milestone was achieved with the commissioning of the final 10 MW wind component at the Chapalgaon site.

The MSEDCL hybrid project comprises 75 MW of solar and 25 MW of wind capacity, with the full contracted capacity now operational more than two months ahead of its scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD).

Commenting on the commissioning, Ankush Malik, Whole-time Director and CEO of Juniper Green Energy, said that commissioning more than 100 MW of wind capacity across three states within 15 days represents a significant execution milestone for the company.

He said the commissioning across multiple sites, states, and procurers demonstrates the company’s project execution capabilities and its ability to deliver contracted projects at scale. Malik added that the early completion of the MSEDCL hybrid project, along with progress on the GUVNL and SJVN firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) portfolios, reflects the company’s focus on converting contracted capacity into operational assets.

Juniper Green Energy said the latest commissioning milestones strengthen its operating portfolio and support the company’s efforts to accelerate the development of its renewable energy pipeline.
