Lake Energy’s Renewable Energy Portfolio Reaches 5 GW Across Africa

Lake Energy has announced that its renewable energy project portfolio across Africa has reached 5 GW in capacity, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion in the African clean energy market.

The portfolio includes projects across solar power, wind power, battery energy storage, and associated power infrastructure, covering projects at various stages of planning, development, and operation across multiple African markets.

According to the company, the expansion of its portfolio to 5 GW strengthens its capabilities across renewable energy project development, engineering collaboration, energy infrastructure construction, and long-term project operations.

“Owe Kok Liang, Director at Lake Energy, said, “The 5GW project portfolio marks a significant milestone in Lake Energy’s growth within the African market. Africa holds immense potential for renewable energy development; we will continue to strengthen our capabilities in solar, wind, and energy storage infrastructure, while collaborating with local partners to drive the long-term development of clean energy projects.”

Lake Energy said it plans to further expand its presence in the African renewable energy market by advancing its existing project portfolio and evaluating new opportunities across solar, wind, energy storage, and related power infrastructure.

The company’s 5 GW portfolio reflects its growing focus on supporting renewable energy development and energy infrastructure deployment across African markets.
