Shakti Pumps Invests INR 11 Crore in Subsidiary to Set Up 2.20 GW Solar Manufacturing Plant in Madhya Pradesh

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has invested ₹11 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited (SESL), to support the establishment of a greenfield solar manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.

According to a stock exchange filing dated September 14, 2026, SESL is setting up a plant for manufacturing high-efficiency Solar DCR cells and Solar PV modules, with a planned production capacity of 2.20 GW.

The investment has been made in cash through subscription to equity shares of SESL. The company stated that the equity shares will be issued from time to time in accordance with the agreement. The investment is expected to be completed on the same day, and no government or regulatory approvals are required for the transaction.

SESL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shakti Pumps and was incorporated on September 6, 2010. The company currently operates in the manufacturing of solar structures and deals in solar rooftop solutions, while the new facility represents an expansion into Solar DCR cell and PV module manufacturing.

SESL reported a turnover of ₹239.11 crore in FY2026, compared with ₹216.53 crore in FY2025 and ₹139.59 crore in FY2024.

The new manufacturing facility will expand Shakti Pumps’ presence across the solar manufacturing value chain, with the company investing in domestic production of DCR solar cells and PV modules through its subsidiary.
