The Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids for the repair and comprehensive maintenance of a 1.7 MW rooftop solar power plant installed at the 13 BRD and 16 BRD domestic and technical areas under GE (AF) Gurgaon No. 1. The tender has been issued under reference number CWE/TKD/GUR/TOKEN-62 OF 2026-2027.
The project carries an estimated cost of ₹35 lakh, based on prevailing market rates. The work is intended to ensure the continued operation and maintenance of the rooftop solar installation through necessary repair and comprehensive maintenance activities.
The contract will be awarded through an open tender inquiry using a single-stage, two-cover bidding system. Under this process, Cover-1 will contain the technical bid, while Cover-2 will contain the financial bid. Bidders will be required to complete the entire scope of work within 180 days from the commencement of the contract.
GE (AF) Gurgaon No. 1 will serve as the executing agency for the project, while HQ CWE (AF) Tughlakabad, New Delhi, will act as the tender issuing and accepting authority.
The tender notice was issued on September 26, 2026. The detailed schedule covering bid publishing, commencement of bid submission and the final bid submission deadline is available through the government procurement portal and the MES website. Interested bidders are required to check the official portals for the latest tender schedule and submission requirements.
A non-refundable tender document fee of ₹500 has been prescribed for participating bidders. The fee is required to be submitted through a Demand Draft or Banker’s Cheque payable to GE (AF) Gurgaon No. 1.
The tender also requires bidders to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹70,000. The EMD must be provided through a Demand Draft or Banker’s Cheque issued by a scheduled or nationalized bank in favour of GE (AF) Gurgaon No. 1. The original physical EMD instrument must reach the office of the Accepting Officer within seven days from the bid submission end date.
For the successful lowest bidder, the EMD can be converted into part of the Performance Security. The Performance Security is fixed at 5% of the accepted contract value and must be deposited within 28 days of receiving the intimation of acceptance.
The tender provides an opportunity for eligible solar operation and maintenance contractors to undertake repair and comprehensive maintenance of a large rooftop solar installation serving defence establishments in the Gurgaon area.
