Kshema Power Appoints VN Kalyanasundaram as Head – Projects to Strengthen Renewable Energy Project Execution

Kshema Power, a renewable and hybrid energy solutions company, has appointed VN Kalyanasundaram (VNK) as Head – Projects as part of its efforts to strengthen project execution and operational capabilities across its renewable energy and power infrastructure portfolio.

Kalyanasundaram, who has been associated with Kshema Power for more than eight years, brings over three decades of professional experience across the cement, construction, and energy sectors. His expertise spans supply chain management (SCM), procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, site execution, and operational performance.

Throughout his career, Kalyanasundaram has led initiatives involving cost optimisation, vendor management, procurement strategy, logistics efficiency, and operational excellence. His experience also covers pricing strategies, market analysis, procurement improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.

At Kshema Power, Kalyanasundaram has worked closely with the company’s operational requirements, particularly in SCM and site execution. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening execution discipline across foundation works, material management, site coordination, and overall project delivery while improving alignment between project planning and on-ground execution.

Commenting on the appointment, Abhinand Basant, Deputy Managing Director of Kshema Power, said Kalyanasundaram’s eight-year tenure with the company has provided him with a strong understanding of its people, processes, and project execution environment. He added that Kalyanasundaram’s industry experience and knowledge of SCM and site operations would support the company’s efforts to improve execution discipline, project delivery speed, and consistency.

Kalyanasundaram said his priorities as Head – Projects would include strengthening project execution processes, improving coordination between planning and site teams, and driving greater efficiency, quality, consistency, and accountability across projects.

The leadership transition comes as Kshema Power continues to strengthen its project execution capabilities to support the delivery of renewable energy and power infrastructure projects.
