Shakti Pumps Reports 24.5% H1 FY27 Revenue Growth as Solar Pump Installations Rise 29.3%

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has reported revenue growth for the second quarter and first half of the financial year 2026–27, supported by higher solar pump installations and continued project execution. According to the company’s investor presentation, revenue from operations reached ₹16,047 million in H1 FY27, registering a 24.5% increase from ₹12,889 million in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

For Q2 FY27, the company recorded revenue from operations of ₹7,460 million, up 12% year-on-year from ₹6,664 million in Q2 FY26. The growth was primarily driven by an increase in solar pump installations, reflecting continued demand for solar-powered agricultural pumping solutions.

Shakti Pumps installed 51,543 solar pumps during H1 FY27, representing a 29.3% increase compared with 39,861 units installed in H1 FY26. During the second quarter alone, the company installed 23,865 solar pumps. The higher installation volumes contributed to revenue growth, although profitability remained under pressure during the reporting period.

The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) declined to ₹901 million in H1 FY27 from ₹1,875 million in H1 FY26. For Q2 FY27, consolidated PAT stood at ₹385 million, compared with ₹907 million in the year-ago quarter. The decline was attributed to lower realisations, higher prices of stainless steel, copper and aluminium, and increased logistics costs amid global geopolitical tensions.

EBITDA margins stood at 9.2% for H1 FY27 and 8.6% for Q2 FY27, reflecting pressure on operating profitability.

As of October 23, 2026, Shakti Pumps reported an outstanding order book of ₹7,510 million. The company expects demand to be supported by state-level programmes, including Maharashtra’s Magel Tyala scheme, along with the anticipated launch of PM-KUSUM 2.0.

Shakti Pumps is also implementing a phased capital expenditure programme worth ₹17,000 million to double its existing pump and motor manufacturing capacities and expand into solar cell and module manufacturing. Trial production has commenced for 0.5 GW of the planned 2.2 GW domestic content requirement (DCR) solar module facility at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.

Additionally, the company is expanding its export business across more than 100 countries and exploring growth opportunities in rooftop solar solutions and electric vehicle components. These initiatives are aimed at diversifying its business portfolio and strengthening its position in the renewable energy sector.
