Vikram Solar has secured an order to supply 289.87 MWp of N-type TOPCon solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to NLC India Limited (NLCIL) for an 810 MW solar power project at the RUVN Solar Park in Pugal, Bikaner, Rajasthan. The order has been placed on behalf of NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India Limited.
The project is part of Rajasthan’s expanding utility-scale solar development, supported by the state’s strong solar irradiation and availability of land across the Thar region. The RUVN Solar Park in Pugal is among the major solar development locations contributing to India’s efforts to expand renewable energy capacity and strengthen its clean electricity generation infrastructure.
Vikram Solar’s N-type TOPCon modules are designed to deliver higher energy generation and consistent performance under challenging environmental conditions. These include high solar irradiation and elevated temperatures, which are common in western Rajasthan. The technology is expected to support efficient electricity generation and reliable output for large-scale solar installations.
The order strengthens Vikram Solar’s position as a domestic supplier of high-efficiency modules for utility-scale renewable energy projects. Such projects require consistent product quality, reliable manufacturing capabilities and timely deliveries to meet construction and commissioning schedules.
The development also adds to the company’s order book amid increasing demand for domestically manufactured, high-efficiency solar modules. India continues to expand its renewable energy capacity while promoting domestic manufacturing to reduce dependence on imported solar equipment and strengthen the local supply chain.
Commenting on the order, Sameer Nagpal, Chief Executive Officer of Vikram Solar, said the company’s selection for supplying nearly 290 MWp of modules reflects confidence in its N-type TOPCon technology and its ability to meet the requirements of utility-scale projects.
Nagpal added that as India develops clean energy infrastructure at the gigawatt scale, project developers increasingly require dependable technology and long-term supply partners. He said Vikram Solar would continue to strengthen its integrated manufacturing capabilities while focusing on performance reliability and consistent supply.
The order highlights the continuing role of domestic module manufacturers in supporting India’s large-scale solar deployment and renewable energy expansion.
