KPI Green Energy Energizes 171.5 MWp Across Solar And Hybrid Projects In Gujarat

KPI Green Energy Limited has energized additional renewable energy capacity across its major solar and hybrid power projects in Bharuch, Gujarat, marking further progress in the development of its Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio. The company has commissioned an additional 49.7 MWp under its 250 MW / 350 MWp Solar Power Project and 121.8 MWp under its 370 MW / 677 MWp Hybrid Power Project.

Following the latest energization, the solar power project has achieved a cumulative energized capacity of 300.8 MWp out of its total planned capacity of 350 MWp. This represents significant progress towards completing the project and bringing the remaining capacity into operation.

Similarly, the hybrid power project has reached a cumulative energized capacity of 510.7 MWp against its total planned capacity of 677 MWp. The operational capacity includes 449.2 MWp of solar power and 61.5 MW of wind power. The project combines solar and wind energy generation to support a diversified renewable energy supply.

Both projects are being developed under the Independent Power Producer model, with the electricity generated supported by long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). These agreements provide a long-term framework for power procurement and help ensure an assured off-take arrangement for the electricity generated from the projects.

The latest capacity additions reflect the company’s continued efforts to expand its renewable energy generation portfolio in Gujarat. By progressively energizing project capacities, KPI Green Energy is moving closer to achieving its planned operational targets while strengthening its position in the renewable energy sector.

The company is also pursuing growth in its Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) business alongside its IPP operations. Expansion of its own renewable energy projects under long-term PPAs is expected to strengthen its recurring revenue base and improve earnings visibility.

With further capacities expected to become operational, KPI Green Energy aims to expand its clean energy generation footprint and create sustainable long-term value through renewable power generation and infrastructure development.
