JPL To Set Up 3.1 MWp Solar Power Plant in Bangladesh

Joules Power Limited (JPL), a Bangladesh-based Independent Power Producer, has announced a 20 Years Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Robintex Group for 3.1MWp Solar Power Plant. Mahindra Susten, an Indian company will provide engineering, procurement, and construction services on the project.


Nuher L. Khan, Managing Director at Joules Power Limited said: “This will be Bangladesh’s largest Industrial Solar Rooftop Project to be commissioned by Fiscal Year 2020-21”.

The solar panels will be installed on the roofs in Rupganj which will cover a total area of 32,886 sq m.

JPL has launched Bangladesh’s first large scale Solar IPP of 20MW (AC) capacity with a 20 years PPA with the Bangladesh Power Development Board which was commissioned on 13 September 2018.

Robintex Group is a renowned RMG company in Bangladesh. It is a joint venture of Bangladesh – Germany, located at Vulta, Narayanganj, Bangladesh and it has 25 ton per day capacity of textile production.
