NTPC Invites BSP Bids For Development of 735MW Under Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan

NTPC Limited has invited bids for Balance of System Package of 735 (3×245) MW under the Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan. It is divided into 03 blocks of 245 MW each. The bidding system will consist of techno-commercial & price bid with reverse auction

The scope of work for bidders includes designing, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading storage, installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PhotoVoltaic which excludes supply of Solar PV modules. Bidders are also required to Operation & maintenance of SPV Plant along with electrical equipment, consumables, and spare parts for Three years from the date of successful completion of the trial

The Pre-bid conference is scheduled on 13.04.2020. The last date and time for receipt of bids for techno-commercial bids are 27.04.2020 at 17:00:00 whereas the bid will open on 28.04.2020 at 11:00:00. The date of submission of price bid and the reverse auction shall be intimated separately. Bidders must pay bid security of Rs. 5,00,00,000/- and Rs. 22,500/- as cost of bidding documents.

Technical criteria for bidders to participate in this bid is that the Bidder should have designed, supplied, erected/ supervised erection and commissioned/ supervised commissioning of the balance of the system of solar photovoltaic (SPV) based grid-connected power plant(s) or he should be the developer of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MWp or higher capacity. Another condition is that the bidder should have executed in the last ten (10) years an industrial project either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in any other process industry.

The document highlighted that no hard copy of bidding documents shall be issued.

In January NTPC had invited online bids from eligible bidders on Single Stage Two Envelope bid (Techno-commercial bid and price bid) with reverse auction for development of Grid-Connected Solar PV projects up to 1292 MW capacity under CPSU Scheme Phase-II (Tranche-II). Only domestically manufactured Solar PV Cells and modules were used in the solar projects to be set up through this tender.

Recently, The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has designated National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) as the renewable energy implementing agency to enable long-term access (LTA) and application of connectivity in the interstate transmission system network.
