The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced the list of bidders for its 400 MW tender for renewable power on a round-the-clock basis. The tender has received an avid response from the bidders and it has been oversubscribed by 550 MW. The list of bidders includes Greenko for a capacity of 400 MW, ReNew Power for 400 MW, HES Infra for 100 MW, and Ayana for 50 MW.
On 15 October 2019, SECI had floated the tender to acquire 400 MW((2×200 MW)of renewable energy on round the clock basis. The tender stated that solar, wind and hybrid projects can be developed under this project.The energy procured through these projects will be supplied to the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
The projects that will be developed under this tender can be constructed anywhere in India and will be connected to the inter-state transmission system. The bidder will have the option of the type of storage system which is to be installed and will be developed on the Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model.
The bidder can apply for a minimum and maximum capacity of 200 and 400 MW respectively. Shortlisted bidders are required to enter into power purchase agreements (PPA) for 25 years and will also be required to connect the projects with the inter-state transmission system (ISTS).
Recently, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for installing 15 MW floating solar PV power plant for different sites at the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in Telangana. The project is divided into 2 sites: Site 1 is STPP Storage Reservoir for the capacity of 10 MW and site 2 is Dorli OC -2 Void, SSCL for the capacity of 5 MW. The last date for bid submission is 4 May 2020 till 1400 Hours, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date at 1600 Hours. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 20 April 2020.
On 1st April, Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) issued Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for setting up 1200 MW Inter-State Transmission System(ISTS)-connected RE Projects with assured Peak Power supply in India, through a global tariff-based competitive bidding process. SECI has only issued the notice about the tender and no further details about the projects are available as of now. SECI has intimated in the notice that the RfS document will be issued shortly on the website.
