NTPC Invites Bids For Electrical Maintenance of Thermal and Solar Project In Madhya Pradesh

The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has floated a tender for Electrical Maintenance of Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station(VSTPS), Stage-V (1X500MW), FGD, Stage-5 Rooftop solar, 2X4 MW small hydro, and AWRS stage-4 amp 5. The location for this project is in Vindhyanagar, Madhya Pradesh.


The bid opening date is 15-May-2020 at 11:00 AM  and the last date of bid submission is 13-May-2020 at 11:00 AM. The last date to Clarify anything regarding this bid is  08-May-2020 at 12:00 PM.

Along with the bid, the bidders have to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs. 5,00,000.There will be no pre-bid meeting for this tender. The Bid will be Valid for 180 days and the period of completion of work is 730 days.

The document states that “NTPC shall allow purchase preference, as indicated in the bidding documents, to bids from local suppliers as defined in the bidding documents. The bidders may apprise themselves of the relevant provisions of bidding documents in this regard before submission of their bids”.

It has been informed by NTPC that prospective bidders requiring any clarification of the Bidding Document shall put the query under the Clarification tab of the on-line bid at least three days before the clarification end date and employer will respond to any request for clarification or modification of the bidding documents that it receives within the timeline specified. 

It has been highlighted in the document that Bidders may note that in case they do not accept the GTE conditions, their bids shall be not evaluated and shall be rejected.

Recently,The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited(NTPC), A Government Of India Enterprise invites online bids from eligible bidders on Single Stage Two Envelope Basis (i.e. Envelope-I: Techno-Commercial Bid and Envelope-II: Price Bid) with Reverse Auction for SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and WMS (Weather Monitoring Station) package for Solapur solar PV project in Maharashtra. The last date of downloading bidding documents is 11.05.2020. Pre Bid Conference and Last Date for receipt of queries from prospective Bidders are 14.05.2020. Last Date and Time for receipt of bids comprising both Techno-Commercial Bid and Price Bid is 28.05.2020 14:00:00 (IST). Time of opening of Techno-Commercial Bid is 28.05.2020 14:30:00 (IST)Date and Time of start of Reverse Auction Shall be Intimated separately by NTPC.Along with the bids, bidders are requested to pay INR 1125 as Cost of Bidding Documents and also all bids must be accompanied by Bid Security for an amount of INR 1,00,000/- The document stated that prospective bidders shall be required to provide a GSTIN number at the time of purchase of bidding documents.

In April, The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) issued a notice regarding the extension of bid submission for the selection of solar power developers to install 1200 MW Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar PV power projects in India. The last date for the submission of bids is extended from 19th March 2020 to 28th May 2020 and the date scheduled for the pre-bid conference is 12 May 2020. The minimum capacity that a bidder can bid for this project is 50 MW and in multiples of 10 MW up to a maximum quotable capacity of 600 MW. Bidders are only allowed to quote a single tariff. The ceiling tariff for the tender has been set at Rs.2.78.To be eligible to take part in the international competitive bidding process bidders must have a net worth of Rs.8 million as of the last financial year and should have a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 4.14 million.
