The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a notice which states that the bid submission deadline of 14 MW solar power plants with 42 MWH BESS at Leh and Kargil under Prime Minister Development Package (PMDP) has been extended.
Existing last date of bid submission and bid opening was 01.06.2020 till 30.06.2020 till 1400 hrs and 30.06.2020 at 1600 hrs respectively which has been extended to 30.07.2020 till 1400 Hrs and 30.07.2020 at 1600 Hrs.
In January, SECI issued an RfS for setting up 14 MW solar power plants with 42 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems in Leh and Kargil. The maximum Levelized tariff payable to the Project Developer is fixed at INR 2/ kWh for 25 years. The project will consist of two 7 MW / 21 MWh each at Leh and Kargil.
The proposals have been invited for setting up the solar projects on a “Build Own Operate” basis. The SPD shall be given a Viability Gap Funding (VGF) by SECI. The upper limit for VGF to be quoted by a bidder is kept at INR 13 Crore for 1 MW Solar PV Power Project with Battery Storage of 3 MWh.
The buying entity of the power is Power Development Department Ladakh (PDD Ladakh). PDD will sign a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the selected bidder for the purchase of solar power for a period of 25 years as per the terms, conditions, and provisions of the RFS. The maximum levelized tariff payable to the Project Developer is fixed at INR 2/ kWh for 25 years. This shall be inclusive of all statutory taxes, duties, levies, cess applicable as on the last date of bid submission.
In May, The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) issued a second notice of extension for this project under Prime Minister Development Package (PMDP).
