Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC) has received a petition from Institution of Engineering and Technology against Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency. to allow the present petition and direct UPNEDA to issue approval for installing a directional meter on 1MW grid connected rooftop Solar Power Plant set up by (IET) .
IET has set up a 1 MW grid interactive rooftop Solar Power Plant at its campus under UPNEDA RESCO Scheme for installation of rooftop Solar Power Plants on Govt. Buildings/Institution with net metering facility. UPNEDA issued LOI dated 30-08-2018 and 11-10-2018 to the Ultimate Sun System Pvt. Ltd. to set up grid connected rooftop Solar Power Plant on Govt. Buildings/Institutions and signed an agreement.
IET came to know that its name has not come in the list of Govt. Buildings under RESCO mode which have been granted net-metering permission by the Commission.
Commission stated that IET shall be eligible for Net metering facility for its 1 MW grid connected roof top solar plant at its campus under UPNEDA RESCO scheme.
