SJVN Wins 75 MW Solar Project in Uttar Pradesh


State-owned power producer SJVN Ltd said it has bagged a 75 megawatt (MW) grid-connected solar project in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh. The power generated from the project will be procured by Uttar Pradesh New and Renewal Development Agency (UPNEDA) for 25 years at a quoted tariff of Rs 2.68/KWh, SJVN said in a statement. SJVN said it has received a letter of intent (LoI) for a 75 MW grid-connected solar power project at Parasan in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh through tariff-based competitive bidding by UPNEDA. ‘SJVN has quoted a tariff of Rs 2.68 / KWh (kilowatt-hour) and power generated from this project will be procured by UPNEDA for 25 years,’ the statement said.

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has Invitation for Application For Selection of Manufacturers for Setting up Manufacturing Capacities for High Efficiency Solar PV Modules under the Production Linked Incentive scheme. The interested manufacturers ready to set up any solar production facilities will be eligible for applying for the incentive under the programme. However, the manufacturer has to ensure that the installed capacities achieve the minimum level of integration of cells and modules, meet the minimum manufacturing capacity requirements, and follow the minimum threshold performance parameters of module efficiency as per the programme guidelines. The last date to submit the bids is June 30, 2021, and bids will be opened on July 1.

CERC Granted Relief To SBG Cleantech By Approval Of ‘Change In Law’ Event Due To Introduction Of GST And SGD On Solar Module

In a recent order CERC granted relief to SBG Cleantech One Ltd in line with additional capital cost incurred due to introduction of GST and Safe Guard Duty (SGD) on Solar Module imported from China. After taking into account prayers of petitioners and subsequent submissions by respondents, rejoinder by petitioner; commission enlisted the three main issues for adjudication. Whether the enactment of the GST laws and imposition of SGD are change in law events under article 12 of the PPA and whether the petitioner is entitiled to relief thereunder? The claim on account of additional tax burden on O&M is not maintainable. The claims on account of „Carrying cost‟, „Interest on Working Capital‟ and „Return of Equity‟ are not admissible.

CREDA Issues Tender for Solar Modules in Chhattisgarh

CREDA invites sealed Bids from the manufactures or its authorised dealer/distributor for standardization of rates for supply of solar modules of different capacities for solar applications with 10 years onsite warranty conforming to the BIS and MNRE standards any where in the state of Chhattisgarh. The last date to submit the bids is June 21, 2021. The technical and financial bids will be opened on June 22 and 23, respectively. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for June 3, 2021

PEDA Floats 5 MW Solar Rooftop Tender

The Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) issues an e-tender for 5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV plants. Location: On government buildings anywhere in Chandigarh and the state of Punjab. Scope of Work: Approval of Rates for Design, Engineering, Supply, Installation, Commissioning, and Testing along with the O&M for 5 coming years. The last date to submit the bids is 23 June, 2021. Techno-commercial bid opening date will be 25 June, 2021. The successful bidder will have to furnish the performance bank guarantee of 5 lacs valid for 16 months from the date of issue of notification of Award. Only the EPC companies, manufacturers, suppliers & system integrators of solar PV plants who have not been 9 debarred by any Govt. organization for design, manufacture, supply, installation, and commissioning of different capacity Solar Power Projects are eligible for this tender. Annual maintenance charges will be there for 5 years will be 10% of the total cost of the plant which will be deducted from the total cost of the plant.

Central Electronics Tenders for 500,000 Multicrystalline Solar Cells

The last date to submit the bids is June 2, 2021. Only original manufacturers or their authorized representatives will be eligible to participate in the bidding process. The supplier shall confirm the modules manufactured using the supplier’s cells conform to IEC 61215/IS 14286, IEC 61730, and IEC 62804. The aforesaid modules shall be tested in TUV or any other accredited lab. The cells must be free of cracks, holes, cuts, edge chipping, streaks, patches, spots, discontinuity of metal printing lines, or color mismatches.
