SECI Signs Solar PPA for 333 MW with AGEL Against Manufacturing Linked Solar Scheme (Tranche-I)

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has signed 333 MW of PPA with M/s Adani Green (AGEL) against Manufacturing linked Solar Scheme (Tranche-I), said the official Twitter account of SECI.

Earlier the the company had said that it has signed its first set of PPAs for 867 MW with SECI in Sep/ Oct 2021 under Letter of Award received for manufacturing linked solar projects of 8 GW.

The company has announced the financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2021. AGELโ€™s overall renewable portfolio has increased to 20,284 MW mainly on account of completion of acquisition of SB Energyโ€™s India Renewable portfolio of 4,954 MW, which includes 1,700 MW operational assets, said the company.

AGEL was awarded 450 MW Wind project from SECI in Oct 2021.

AGELโ€™s sale of Energy increased by 54% to 3,954 mn units in H1 FY22 and Solar CUF improves by 50 bps YoY to 23.2% and Wind CUF improves by 710 bps YoY to 40.7% in H1 FY22, said the company statement.

Earlier this week, AGEL has reported that the it scored 66 points in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) survey 2021 conducted by DJSI โ€“ S&P Global. This is significantly higher than the average world electric utility sector score of 38, said the company.

โ€œThis achievement is a manifestation of the Adani vision to steer India towards a cleaner, greener future,โ€ said Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Chief Sustainability Officer, AGEL.
