Desert Technologies Factory signs an agreement with meeco to export solar panels for various projects in Lambsheim, Germany. The factory previously exported solar panels to Greece, the United States of America, Jordan, Egypt, and North African countries. The factory plans to expand its business in Europe.
desert technologies (dt) is an independent fully integrated PV solar energy platform with a proven track record as a PV developer, EPC and O&M contractor and PV solar panel & product manufacturer through its 110MW capacity factory in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
A statement issued by the Desert Technologies Group stated, “The agreement signed in the German city of Lambsheim places the Desert Technologies Factory in a leading position in the German and European market, and enhances its position in the production and export of Saudi solar panels at the local, regional and international levels.”
The meeco Group has been consolidated in 2000 in Zug (Switzerland), based on the heritage of a family-owned business and its more than 80 years of experience in the energy sector. Today, well over 80 employees across five continents are working within the core enterprise, contributing to creating and implementing efficient energy projects and top-tier solar power systems worldwide.
Eng. Majed Al-Refaie, the Group Chief Commercial Officer at Desert Technologies Factory said that this partnership will allow it to enter the German market for solar and renewable energy. Desert Technologies Factory targets to be in line with Made in Saudi Program and it was the first one to join this program.
He concluded, “we are proud that our factory is part of the National Energy and Initiative Program, where our solar panels exported to many Arab, African and European markets, and many strategic projects in the Kingdom represent the pride of the Saudi industry.”
