600 MW Floating Solar Project Tender Bagged By AMP, NHDC, And SJVN

AMP Energy, NHDC and SJVN have secured 600 MW of floating solar on the Omkareshwar Reservoir.


The auction was held to sell the first phase of 300 MW. The auction for the remaining 300 MW will be held soon.

AMP, NHDC and SJVN were all awarded the 100-unit project capacity with bids of Rs 3.21, Rs 3.22 and Rs 3.26/unit, respectively.

The project is to be completed on a Build Own and Opte (BOO). After the issuance by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited of (RUMSL) the LOI, the power purchase agreement will be signed.

RUMSL invited tender for 600 MW Floating Sun Park at Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh. Six units each of 100 MW of floating solar photovoltaic grid connected power projects were included in the project. The tender received a huge response with 15 bidders being shortlisted to take part in the bidding process. The auction attracted 14 domestic bidders, and one foreign bidder.

The Government of India approved several large-scale solar parks in Madhya Pradesh. These include 1500 MW Agar Shahpur Neemuch Solar Parks and 600 MW Omkareshwar Solar Parks. There are also 950 MW Chhatarpur Solar Parks and 1400 MW Morena Solar Parks.

RUMSL seeks to engage individuals in various activities related to the development of the solar parks.
