Harsh Shah To Join Azure Power as CEO

Azure Power Global Limited, a leading independent sustainable energy solutions provider and renewable power producer in India, today announced that Mr. Harsh Shah will be joining as the Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2022.

Mr. Shah was the former Chief Executive Officer at IndiGrid, India’s largest Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), in the Indian energy sector. It manages and owns power transmission networks as well as renewable energy assets valued at US $3 billion. He was also the Chief Financial Officer of Sterlite Power, IndiGrid and Sterlite Power.

Alan Rosling (Chairman of the Board of Azure), commented on the appointment and said that “We are thrilled to welcome Harsh into Azure Power.” He is a proven leader with deep knowledge of India’s energy sector and its rapid evolution. Azure operates and builds some of India’s largest grid-scale renewable energy projects. It supplies renewable power to both government utilities and private industrial and commercial customers.
