Sigenergy, a technology-driven clean energy company, is advancing its Make in India plans with a proposed 40 GW manufacturing facility, with the first phase of production expected to begin by Q2 2027. The initial phase will focus on commercial and industrial (C&I) and utility-scale solutions, followed by battery energy storage systems (BESS) and residential hybrid inverters in the second phase, which will add a further 30 GW of capacity.
India remains a strategically important market for Sigenergy as the country shifts towards greater adoption of energy storage and intelligent energy management. Since commencing operations in January 2026, the company has established channel partnerships, opened an experience centre in Mumbai and conducted EPC Connect programmes to engage with industry stakeholders. It also plans to establish six service centres across India to strengthen customer support.
At the Renewable Energy India Expo (REI) 2026, Sigenergy showcased three energy storage solutions — Sigen Neo, Sigen Cube and Sigen Terra — designed for residential, commercial and utility-scale applications.
Sigen Neo is an all-in-one solar and energy storage solution for homes and small commercial establishments. Available in single-phase configurations from 2 kW to 6 kW and three-phase configurations from 3 kW to 15 kW, it integrates solar conversion, battery storage, backup capabilities and AI-enabled energy management to optimise energy consumption.
Sigen Cube is an intelligent, cabinet-style C&I battery energy storage system that integrates solar power, energy storage and intelligent energy management. It enables businesses to store excess solar energy for use during periods of higher demand, helping maximise self-consumption, reduce grid dependence and manage peak electricity demand.
Sigen Terra is a 6.26 MWh integrated AC and DC all-in-one utility-scale energy storage system designed to optimise renewable energy utilisation and support grid stability through advanced AI-powered energy management. The company also offers a 5 MWh DC Block Container solution with flexible configurations for the Indian market.
Sigenergy’s broader portfolio includes Sigen Stack for C&I hybrid energy storage applications, along with solar inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV charging and intelligent energy management solutions.
Commenting on the launches, Abhilash Borana, CEO, Sigenergy in India, said, “India is entering an important phase of its renewable energy journey, moving beyond power generation towards energy storage and intelligent energy management. This makes India a strategically important market for Sigenergy, given the opportunities emerging across residential, commercial and utility-scale applications. Alongside bringing advanced technologies to the market, we are investing in our local team, partner network, service infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities to build a strong presence in India. Our product philosophy is centred on being Safe, Intelligent, Green and Efficient, while supporting the vision of a New India. With our entire product range Sigen Neo, Sigen Cube and Sigen Terra, we aim to make energy systems smarter, more flexible and easier to manage, while supporting the country’s evolving energy storage requirements.”
Through its “AI in All” approach, Sigenergy integrates artificial intelligence across solar inverters, battery storage, EV charging and energy management solutions. The company aims to combine technology innovation with local manufacturing, partnerships and service infrastructure to support India’s evolving renewable energy and storage requirements.
