Airtouch Solar continues to expand its operations in the Indian subcontinent. The company reports today that its wholly-owned subsidiary signed agreements with customers, including an existing client from Indian conglomerate group – Hero, for the sale and maintenance of a water-free robotic cleaning solution for solar panels in the clients’ solar field in India. This follows the company’s report from the end of April of a transaction with a new customer – a solar developer in India.

The reported transaction will yield Airtouch revenues of approximately USD 0.94 million, be paid at several milestones in the process of the delivery and installation of the systems, and afterwards over a period of 25 years while providing operation and maintenance services. The company expects the supply and installation of the robots to be completed in the year 2022.

HERO Group is an Indian conglomerate with a wide range of activities. Airtouch contracted with its subsidiary Hero Future Energies, which specializes in clean and renewable energy production and is considered an Airtouch Solar leading solar energy producer in India.

At the end of April, Airtouch reported an additional transaction of approx. USD 0.44 million with a solar developer in India for the sale, supply, installation, operation and maintenance for over a period of 25 years of Airtouch AT 3.0 robotic water-free robotic cleaning systems. Airtouch expects the installation of the systems to be completed during the year 2022.

In its operations in Israel, Airtouch recently reported that it received a purchase order of approx. USD 0.69 million from a subsidiary of Meshek Energy for the installation of Airtouch robots in a project located near Moshav Yachini. Airtouch will also provide operations and maintenance services for the project over a period of up to 23 years in exchange for an additional sum of USD 1.3 million. This is an order under a Framework Agreement signed by the parties last year. Within the same report, Airtouch updated the same report that in addition to this engagement, since July 2021, agreements have been signed with Meshek Energy subsidiaries for 4 additional orders for the installation of robots in smaller solar fields, in exchange for a total of USD 0.72 million. This amount does not include the additional revenue related to operation and maintenance services for 23 years.

In the company’s assessment, the dry (water-free) robotic cleaning solution that it developed is an ideal solution to the problem of dust accumulation on solar panels. The target market for robotic cleaning solutions is estimated at $11 billion for the year 2025, while approx. 95% of the market is currently operating without a robotic cleaning solution.
