MSPGCL Invites Bids for  105 MW Grid-connected Floating Solar Project

The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL) has invited proposals to develop a a 105 MW floating solar project with a grid connection at Erai Dam Solar Park, Maharashtra’s Chandrapur.

All bid proposals must be submitted online no later than July 15, 2022. The bids will be announced the same day.

After signing the power purchase agreement, the winning bidder must declare the project’s capacity utilization factor. The winner has the right to modify it once during the first year. The bidders must also have built floating solar projects of minimum 30 MW in aggregate or 2.5 MW with 1 MW of commissioned.

The bidder should have at least 100 MW aggregate solar power. The bidder must also have the ability to develop ground-mounted solar projects that have a total of at least 200MW.

MSPGCL will purchase excess generation above and beyond 10% of annual CUF at a fixed tariff 75% of PPA tariff provided MSPGCL is able to find any buyer for such excess generation.

The Successful Bidder will have to compensate MSPGCL for inability to generate minimal energy at 25% of the PPA tariff.
