Haryana Power Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala on Monday said the power department is preparing a proposal to install solar panels on canals across the state to produce clean energy.
The minister said that the state government is paying special attention to promote the use of solar energy.
He said this while presided over an official meeting at Fatehabad.
For power generation, he said that four paddy stubble-based plants would be established in the state. Fatehabad will be one of the four locations.
According to a statement, “These plants will not just generate electricity, but also produce compressed gas.”
Under the leadership of the power minister, the meeting of District Development and Monitoring Committees (D-Plan) approved development works in the amount of Rs 14.86 crore.
Chautala instructed the officers to complete the development work within the timeframe so that the grant is not lost.
