South Africa-based solar energy company, WiSolar, has launched a hybrid prepaid solar electricity platform for its customers in Nigeria and South Africa. The application named, WiGo, simplifies the delivery of solar electricity and makes easy access to clean electricity.
The mobile app is available for download on both Android and iOS stores. The users of this hybrid prepaid solar electricity application will be able to register and sign in to buy prepaid solar electricity tokens and also can recharge remotely. The app allows viewing electricity top-up history and solar performance on the mobile app.
Interested companies and individuals can also become WiSolarโs partner merchants to earn commissions on packages sold. On the other hand, partner installers can earn commissions on installations and maintenance. WiGo allows these individuals and companies to view orders and easily withdraw the earned commissions from their wallets straight to their bank accounts.
WiGo also facilitates the partner developers and property owners to monitor customer details, earn commissions on prepaid tariffs, and determine prepaid tariffs for solar usage by tenants. Developers and property owners can obtain better cash flow by having electricity used through the prepaid meter paid back to the owner.
Tonye Irims, Founder and CEO, said on the launch of the app, โOne of our commitments as a tech company and startup is the goal to ensure that we contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and to contribute in our own little way of empowering solar electricity users and bringing the same closer to people across Africa.โ
Irims also mentioned that the launch of the hybrid prepaid solar electricity app is furtherance of WiSolarโs commitment and efforts to democratize the delivery of solar electricity. The objective of this launch is to make the easy availability of solar electricity and affordable energy solutions to anyone across Africa.
